I know it's early, but never it's never too early to start thinking about another gourmet dinner with the wonderful members of the VIP network! Details to follow, but it will be on Saturday night, July 30th. While we are pursuing funding, it has not yet been caught. If we have to pay for this ourselves, I at least promise you this will be the last time. There will most likely be cocktails; there will definitely be amazing food and amazing company and of course, awards for improving outcomes. There will be a lot of exciting develpments to talk about as well. While it probably makes sense to use this website to respond, please just email me [email protected] with the number of people in your party that will attend. Since it's so early, I'm not averse to taking restaurant suggestions - KC barbeque, ethnic (Thai, Indian, Ethiopian, other), American/gourmet. If you're from KC - give me some suggestions, preferably within walking distance of the Hyatt Regency Crown Center.

Your choices are pretty limited if you want walking-distance from Hyatt Regency (especially in 90 degree weather). There are a couple place in Crown Center or Union Station which would be the only walkable options except for the hotels' restaurants. If you don't mind a VERY short drive, I would recommend the Webster House, Tannins, Lydia's, La Bodega or Nara. I would definitely call ahead of time with your group count because a couple places are pretty tight on space. Let me know if you have any other KC questions.

Amanda,

Sorry I just got this. Brian Pate also suggested Lidia's and it looked great. You were right about booking it early, missed out on their banquet room. I don't think I have you down for the dinner. Are you not going to the conference?

Thanks for the suggestions.

Yes, I'll be at the conference but was waiting to hear from my SO if he would be able to go to the dinner. Is it too late to join, me + 1?
